Natus is a personal Blueprint app that reads how you operate from your birth details, conversations, and journal entries. This policy covers the Natus iOS app and natusblueprint.com. It explains what personal information Natus collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
Who this policy applies to

It covers anyone who completes onboarding, chats with Natus, keeps a journal, receives weekly readings, manages notification preferences, or handles a subscription through the app.

What information Natus collects
Natus currently stores and processes the following information to operate the service:
- name and onboarding answers
- email address, if you provide one
- birth date, birth time, and birth place
- current city, if you provide it
- chat messages and generated chat replies
- structured memory fields inferred from chat so replies stay consistent over time
- journal text entries (journal photos and sketches stay on your device)
- Blueprint, First Reading, Sunday Reading, and related generated content
- notification rhythm preference
- optional attribution answers, such as how you heard about Natus
- pseudonymous device identifier used as your account in V1
- hashed device identifier and product interaction events for analytics
- purchase and subscription status
- short voice recordings when you use the microphone (sent for transcription only)
Natus does not directly store your full payment card details. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.
How Natus uses AI, and what gets sent where
Natus uses AI to generate your Blueprint, readings, and chat replies. To do this, some of your information is sent to outside services:
When you chat, your message and a short summary of your Blueprint are sent to OpenRouter, which passes the request to an AI model provider to write the reply.
To build your natal chart, your birth date, time, and place are sent to Open Ephemeris.
After some chats, Natus runs a second AI step that reads your recent messages and Blueprint to pull out a few memory details, so future replies stay consistent.
Your conversations and journal entries are only sent where needed to generate your responses, store your data, or run the service. They are never used to train Natus's own models, and they are never used for advertising.
How Natus collects information
- directly from you when you complete onboarding, chat, journal, edit profile details, choose notification timing, or answer optional questions
- from your device when the app creates or reads a device scoped identifier
- from Apple and RevenueCat when subscription or purchase status needs to be confirmed
- from service providers that help calculate your Blueprint, generate chat replies, host data, or measure product usage
Why Natus uses information
Natus uses personal information to:
- create and maintain your Blueprint
- generate readings and chat replies
- store journal entries so they remain available to you

- remember relevant context across conversations
- manage subscriptions and paid access

Analytics
Natus uses TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used. TelemetryDeck receives event names, enum properties, and a hashed device identifier.
