Life path number calculator
Your life path number comes from adding every digit of your full date of birth, then reducing it to one digit. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept whole and not reduced.
The calculator below does that in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and it shows the working so you can check it by hand.
How it is calculated
Write your birth date as digits, year, month and day, and add every single digit together into one total. Then add the digits of that total together again, and keep going until you have one digit.
If a total lands on 11, 22 or 33, stop there. Those are the master numbers, and they are not reduced any further. Every other total reduces to a single digit from 1 to 9.
- Write your date of birth as digits: YYYY, MM and DD.
- Add every single digit together into one total.
- Add the digits of that total together again.
- Keep going until you have one digit. Leave 11, 22 and 33 whole.
A worked example
Take 15 August 1992. Written as digits that is 1, 9, 9, 2, 0, 8, 1, 5.
1 + 9 + 9 + 2 + 0 + 8 + 1 + 5 = 35. Then 3 + 5 = 8.
So that date is a life path 8. If the total had landed on 11, 22 or 33, it would have been a master number and stopped there.
Common questions
How do I calculate my life path number?
Write your full date of birth as digits. Add every digit together into one total. Then keep adding the digits of that total until you reach one digit. If the total is 11, 22 or 33, stop there, because those are master numbers.
What are the master numbers 11, 22 and 33?
They are totals that are not reduced any further. They are read as strengthened versions of 2, 4 and 6. They only appear when the digits of your birth date add up to exactly 11, 22 or 33.
Does the day or month have to be added a certain way?
The method on this page adds every digit of the full date together first, then reduces. Some other systems reduce the month, day and year on their own first. The digits-first method is used here because it is the one that can produce all three master numbers.
Is my life path number the same as my Sun sign?
No. The life path number comes from your date of birth only. Your Sun sign comes from the zodiac position of the Sun on your birth date. You can have any pairing of the two, and Natus reads them as separate parts of a full blueprint.
Does a life path number predict my future?
No. Natus does not predict. A life path number is a lens for noticing a pattern in how you operate. Your real weeks are what tell you whether it actually fits.
